Procedure for Mutual Consent Divorce. Step 1. Finalization of consent terms of Divorce petition. Step 2. Signatures on Divorce Petition, Consent Terms and affidavits. Step 3. E-Filing in Court and submission of hard copy. Step 4. Appearance of both parties Before Judge on Court First Date (i.e First Motion) Step 5: Mediation of petitioners by Mediator. Step 6: Claim Affidavit / Affidavit as Evidence of Petitioners. Step 7: Divorce Judgement by court. Note: Time period required is 6 months ( 6 months cooling period can be waived if there is more than18 months of separation since date of filing of case) Total 3 times petitioner needs to visit court.
